Playgroup Festival

Remember when festivals were small, friendly and filled with magical moments you remember forever? That’s what Playgroup Festival, now in its second year, is all about: amazing live music, beautiful scenery, making new friends and forgetting about the real world for three days of weird, wonderful and truly spectacular entertainment!

In the words of one seasoned press reviewer, last year’s début Playgroup Festival “delivered all the magic and silliness of Secret Garden or Bestival without the tent pile-ups and loo queues”. The Playgroup Festival is a very regional and special take on all those farther flung events! We aim to take the best creativity in arts and entertainment from our corner of England – Brighton and beyond, across Sussex and Kent, and up to London – select a few special guests from further afield, and give it a beautiful temporary home, for one magical long summer weekend.

With an expected attendance of only 2,000 guests, a handful of stages for incredible live music, from gypsy swing to glitch-hop, magical mystery tour buses, a cinema tent, installation art, fresh local produce, a family area, cabaret and walkabout performance, workshops and games, a healing area, 100% audience participation and a heavy dash of the absurd, we’re very happy to introduce you to your new favourite festival.

Confirmed acts include

Quantic y sul Combo Barbaro, BOY COM, The Correspondents, Carnival Collective, Grass Cut, King Porter Stomp,  Los Albertos, Malarki, Zen Death Squad, Zora & the Tatsmiths, AK/DK, Bust the Box and that's not including all the art, performance and cabaret - just a small scrape on the tip of the musical iceberg

The Location Eridge Park abuts the sleepy village of Eridge Green and is two miles south of Tunbridge Wells, on the Sussex and Kent border. It is halfway between Brighton and London and one of the most beautiful sites for a festival in the Kingdom.
